Titled Sonic Mania 2021, the game features a 2D pixel art style and a classic platform game. It contained re-imagined Zones and Acts of Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, and Knuckles along with new areas with all new acts and bosses.
The game will be available for the spring release in 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
It was also announced at the anniversary event that the mobile game Sonic Dash has been downloaded more than 200 million times.
To celebrate, developers are launching a special event at a game level that includes the Green Hill Zone and classic-Sonic as a playable character. The event will last a week and once unlocked, the zone and the classic-Sonic will be playable even after the event.
