Root access is a necessity for many of the phones as manufacturers usually do not implement the required functionality.
There are 4 recording Methods:
- API standard
- CAF (root required)
- ALSA (root requried)
- Kernel (root required)
CAF and ALSA – both methods require root access. Machine Settings → recording environments are very important here. If the phone is not in the list, select a device that has the same chipset as yours. The main difference between CAF and CAF ALSA is ALSA requires no installation, and is compatible with more features.
Kernel – method for phones based on Qualcomm chipsets old recording; It takes root. This method does not guarantee the recording of the call in 2 ways.
